1) Visual:
The teacher will use this visual to involve the students in class discussion.
2) Bulletin board:
The teacher will introduce each animal using the bulletin board which will stay in the classroom throughout the end of the unit. The bulletin board is divided into the four continents that we chose, and in each of the continent there are 3 windows that show the pictures of the unique animals of that continent.
PowerPoint presentation was prepared by the teacher. The teacher will use the PowerPoint presentation to present the physical appearance, characteristics, usefulness and the extinction for the 3 animals found in each continent.
4) Webquest:
This webquest will introduce the students to the main assignment that they have, which is to create a blog.In the blog the students will talk about the unique animals that they learnt about in the unit (physical appearance, characteristics, extinction and usefulness). The problem of animal extinction is a realistic problem so through this blog students have to think of solutions that will stop the increase of the extinction rate. The end result of this activity is that they will have a blog that will allow them to know about other unique animals, to raise awareness and to increase their problem solving skills through finding solutions for the extinction rates. They will also see the rubric created by their teacher to evaluate them based on certain criteria.
5) Game:
The main aim for the game was to revise the whole unit. The game has 2 different section one multiple choice and one true or false.
